Themed bedroom décor is also a good idea for babies and toddlers. It can work as their first learning experience in the world. Kid’s bedroom décor can also express their interests. For example, if the child is interested in art, painting, dressing up etc, their bedroom could be built around a vibrant, colorful theme that would get those creative juices flowing, from an early age. The theme would help the child grow into a unique, comfortable and proud individual.
Sometimes, children find it difficult to sleep in their own bed. They sleep in their own beds but end up waking up on their parents bed in the morning. In such cases the theme personalizes the room and makes them feel that the room is theirs, a place that they want to come home to. Themes also work as something that helps when the kids start sleeping in their own bed.

Can you identify with any of these situations?
• You’re not fond of the traditional baby colors of blue and pink that adhere to the traditional idea of what color a baby boy’s room should be decorated in versus a baby girl’s.
• You’re waiting to find out your baby’s gender.
• You want a theme that can suit whatever other children come along; you want to leave options open for the future.
• You feel that unique boy or girl themes are cool, but babies tend to outgrow themed decor rather quickly.
• You’re having twins.
• You are looking to buy a gift for an expecting mother.
• You want to get more use out of your decorations.
The arrival of a baby is an exciting time for the parents. A baby’s nursery is his/her first haven and parents want it to be perfect. Here are a few pointers that would help make a baby’s nursery warm and cozy.

Choose a color
To start the project parents need to choose a color or colors. There are plenty of soft shades of paint that would convert that dull spare room to a bright and cheerful nursery. Sometimes it works wonders to put wall paper on one of the walls and paint the rest in a matching color. Using paper on a wall breaks up the monotony of all the walls being the same color. The wallpaper can also be used to decorate an inexpensive bookcase or shelves which can be used as storage for baby’s toys, first books, nappies, creams, etc. If the room is small, wall mounted shelving can work as a space saver. This then opens out the color scheme for the curtains and bedding.
